Accounting Manager

Door’s Controllership is looking for a leader in accounting and operational excellence, who is enthusiastic about instilling efficient and transparent accounting processes to provide consistently accurate financials, built on outstanding internal controls and policy compliance.

The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial and accounting operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This individual will champion operational excellence and accounting integrity by driving transparent, efficient processes and ensuring consistent, accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Manager plays a critical leadership role in monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, internal controls, policy compliance, and team development.

What will you do?
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data through rigorous review and financial analysis
- Serve as a technical accounting advisor, researching and recommending appropriate treatments for complex accounting transactions.
- Oversee general ledger functions and manage daily accounting operations, including oversight of cash and investments, inventory, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, capitalized software, intangible assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, long-term debt, intercompany, and expenditure transaction cycles.
- Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing continual professional development and guidance to team members.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture that prioritizes accountability, growth, and excellence.
- Direct and manage the financial close process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to meet all reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and deliver financial updates, including analysis of key performance indicators and significant variances, to senior leadership.
- Support the preparation of the SEC filings, 10-Q and 10-K, and ensure all reporting aligns with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate collaboration and trust and to optimize end-to-end accounting and operational workflows.
- Provide critical financial and operational insights to executive leadership to support informed decision-making.
- Design and implement operational controls to facilitate SOX compliance, strengthen and streamline the overall control environment.
- Establish, enforce, and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring they are current and encompass best practices.
- Continuously assess and enhance processes to reduce inefficiencies and improve scalability.
What do you bring to DOOR?
- Active CPA License is a MUST
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience; a combination of both public accounting and corporate accounting experience is a plus
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Proven experience implementing process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency within ERP and accounting platforms (familiarity with NetSuite is a plus)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
