Sr. Frontend Engineer (React Native) | Hello Tech

Latch is looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join and be a key member of our engineering team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our front-end components, ensuring a seamless user experience and robust functionality. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team on challenging projects that have a real impact on our industry.
HelloTech provides professional and affordable on-demand tech support via a network of fully vetted independent technicians throughout the US.  HelloTech providers deliver a wide range of services, focusing on computer support and repair, home networks, smart home devices and televisions. We are at the intersection of several powerful trends including the "gig" economy, smart homes, and in-home aging.

Responsibilities:

• Work on complex web applications by designing, implementing, and unit testing the frontend application code
• Build a next-gen UI using the latest technologies: React, React Native, State management, TypeScript, NextJS
• Help teams with defining an architecture that would scale and also encourage best practices
• Create frameworks and abstractions that are reliable, and reusable and avoid surprising outcomes
• Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills and a love for collaborating with teammates

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of industry experience working with frontend tech stacks, React Native and vanilla JS
• Able to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
• Understanding of authentication, WebSockets, cross-browser compatibility, progressive enhancement and graceful degradation, responsive design, website performance, and accessibility.
• Experience scaffolding/architecting frontend applications
• Mastery of the foundations of the web: vanilla JS, HTML5, CSS3
• Deep understanding of REST principles and experience working with and implementing backend APIs
• Experience with React/Redux, React Native, TypeScript, State Management (Redux, MobX, Zustand), NextJS or similar frameworks
• Experience with documentation, unit and integration testing
• Adaptability, resilience, and being able to thrive in ambiguity
